EUGENE, Ore.
Sophomore Isaiah Harris continued Penn State’s recent history of success in the 800 meters with a second-place finish Friday in the NCAA Track & Field Championships.
Harris finished with a time of 1 minute, 45.40 seconds — falling just short of the gold to UTEP’s Emmanuel Korir, who clocked a 1:45.03. This is Harris’ third straight All-America performance in the the event, as he finished fourth in both the 2016 outdoor and 2017 indoor championships.
By finishing second, Harris now ties past Penn State great Casimir Loxsom (2013 indoor and outdoor) and Brannon Kidder (2015 outdoor) for highest finish in school history in the event.
