UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — In August, Penn State receivers coach Josh Gattis called this the deepest receiving corps he was around and said the Lions could play as many as eight wide receivers.
Geno Lewis, a redshirt junior who was second on the team last season with 55 catches for 751 yards and two touchdown catches, figured to be a large piece of that receiving corps. Through nine games this season, though, that hasn’t been the case. Lewis has nine catches for 107 yards and a pair of touchdowns, both of them coming in the past two games.
