Penn State defensive coordinator Brent Pry stated prior to the 2016 season that he believed the Lions had three starting corners -- John Reid, Grant Haley and Christian Campbell. Reid and Haley were the primary starters last fall.
All three of those players are still with PSU but it appears the Lions' cornerback depth is going to be tested throughout 2017.
Junior corner John Reid, a returning starter who played his prep football at St. Joseph's in the Philadelphia area, will be out indefinitely with a knee injury, according to a Lions247 report. The injury could be season-ending, per the report.
