LOS ANGELES — Penn State suspended junior wide receiver Saeed Blacknall and sophomore linebacker Manny Bowen for violation of team rules, the school announced Wednesday. The two will not play in the Rose Bowl next week.
Blacknall had 15 receptions this year for 347 yards and three touchdowns. He had six catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns in the Nittany Lions' 38-31 Big Ten Championship victory against Wisconsin.
Bowen played in all 13 games this year for Penn State, starting 12. He is tied for fourth on the team with 68 tackles, including 8.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
