UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — There’s a buzz surrounding Penn State's quarterbacks, and it’s not all about returning starter Christian Hackenberg.
Hackenberg, a junior, solidified his starting job shortly after arriving on campus for the 2013 season and is looking for a bounce-back year with a more experienced supporting cast. Penn State knows and likes what it has in Hackenberg.
But spring practice is also about continuing to develop the backups, and, for coach James Franklin and Penn State fans, that means getting a closer look Saturday at redshirt freshman quarterback Trace McSorley in the annual Blue-White Game.
