UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Centre County Court of Common Pleas ruled Thursday evening that Penn State’s seven alumni-elected trustees will have access to review the Freeh report source documents, concluding a court fight against the university that stems from the Jerry Sandusky child sexual abuse scandal.
The university will have 45 days to turn over all materials that are privileged or confidential and 20 days to give the trustees the materials that are not privileged or confidential. The Freeh report was the 2012 report compiled by former FBI director Louis Freeh who investigated the Sandusky scandal. His report was the basis for the NCAA’s sanctions against Penn State.
