Signing Williams – a five-star prospect in the Class of 2005 – was a major recruiting win for a Penn State program that had gone 4-7 in 2004. The Maryland native saw action as a true freshman and finished with 22 receptions for 289 yards and a score. He also ran for three touchdowns and returned kickoffs as Penn State earned an Orange Bowl invite.
The versatile Williams finished his career with nine receiving touchdowns, eight rushing scores, three punt return scores and two kickoff return touchdowns. He is tied for fourth on Penn State’s career receptions list with 161 grabs.
