Although a few events have already commenced, the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will officially begin today with the opening ceremony. A total of twenty-two current and former Penn State athletes will represent twelve different countries amongst eight different sports, giving PSU the 12th most number of NCAA athletes participating in the games of the 33rd Olympiad. As we did previously with the Tokyo and Rio games, we’ll seek to provide weekly updates on how all of the Nittany Lions are faring in their respective competitions. For now though, here’s a quick glimpse at the participants, broken down by sport:
