Cael Sanderson, one of the winningest coaches in Penn State wrestling history, remains without a new contract for the upcoming season.
Coming of his sixth NCAA Title in seven seasons, Sanderson's five-year contract worth an annual salary of $175,000 with multiple incentives expired on June 30.
Not to worry Penn State fans: It does appear likely Sanderson will be back with the program for the foreseeable future.
During a stop at the Penn State Coaches Caravan stop in May, Athletic Director Sandy Barbour was confident the university and Sanderson would be able to work out a new deal.
