Penn State wrestler Vincenzo Joseph will not wrestle in Sunday’s Keystone Classic, according to the tournament brackets that were released Saturday night.
A Penn State spokesperson did not respond to messages seeking comment about Joseph’s status and whether his absence was the result of an injury.
Even without Joseph, the Nittany Lions are still the clear favorite at the Keystone Classic, which they won last year. Penn State captured seven of the other top seeds and has 19 total wrestlers competing.
Those No. 1 seeds include Corey Keener (133 pounds), Zain Retherford (149), Jason Nolf (157), Mark Hall (174), Bo Nickal (184), Matt McCutcheon (197) and Nick Nevills (285).
