Penn State wrestling registers five straight pins to down Maryland and stay unbeaten

Penn State extended its program record dual meet winning streak to 40 on Sunday in dominating fashion.

The Nittany Lions downed Maryland, 47-3, in College Park on the back of six pins, including five consecutive.

After forfeiting the 125 pound bout against Purdue on Friday night, there were some questions as to whether it would be usual starter Devin Schnupp, newcomer Carson Kuhn or another forfeit.

Coach Cael Sanderson called on Schnupp to get the start at 125 and Schnupp battled early and attempted to mount a late comeback, but ultimately fell to Maryland's Brandon Cray by 4-2 decision, giving the Terrapins a 3-0 lead.
