Nick Suriano's hometown school paid a visit to Happy Valley for the first time in 44 years, and he came to play.
He eventually helped the Nittany Lions to a final match score of 37-6.
No. 3 Suriano, a New Jersey native, started the match off at 125, earning a dominating major decision over Brandon Paetzell, 16-2. The true freshman still remains a perfect 11-0, with five majors on the year.
George Carpenter, again, got the start for an injured No. 13 Jered Cortez in Rec Hall. Carpenter lost his match against Scott DelVecchio, 11-4.
This was Carpenter’s fourth dual match in the starting position for the Nittany Lions, and he is now 1-3 in dual meets this season.
