When Nick Nevills' name was announced during the team introductions, the Rec Hall crowd roared. It was the first time they’ve ever heard his name said through the sound system.
In No. 1 Penn State’s (15-0, 9-0 Big Ten) 41-3 victory over Michigan State (1-13, 1-8 Big Ten) on Saturday at Rec Hall, the freshman heavyweight made his long-awaited home debut.
“I don’t think anybody knows what it’s like to wrestle in front of [6,419] loyal and dedicated fans,” Nevills said. “It’s pretty incredible and a little bit breathtaking. You just have to take it in and enjoy it.
