Entering the match, James Madison averaged 3.16 blocks per set, the fourth-best mark in the nation.
However, No. 3 Penn State’s offense outdid the Dukes’ defense en route to a 3-0 sweep in Rec Hall on Friday night.
“For me, it’s more of a just keep swinging mentality,” Camryn Hannah said. “You’re going to get blocked sometimes, and that’s just the game of volleyball. If I get blocked, my teammates are going to be there to cover me, so I can keep swinging.”
Hannah’s nonstop swinging mentality worked as she finished the match with 13 kills on 23 attacking attempts.
