Penn State women's volleyball's Nia Reed enjoys a career night to avenge loss to Ohio State

While the younger players have shone through at times for Penn State this season, sometimes a senior leader is impossible to replace.

Coming off of an injury which sidelined her for four games earlier this season, including Penn State’s loss at Ohio State two weeks ago, senior Nia Reed’s impact was felt all evening long offensively for the Nittany Lions.

“She’s an Energizer bunny,” senior setter Bryanna Weiskircher said. “She’s very excited whenever she’s out there on the court, and I think it helps everyone feel confident and ready to go.”

With revenge on its mind, Penn State took to the court swinging, turning one of the Nittany Lions’ best hitting performances of the year into a 3-0 sweep of the Buckeyes behind a career-best performance from Reed.
