Abby Detering’s entire volleyball career at Penn State has been about fitting in.
As Detering was going through the difficult NCAA transfer process, she had to not only fit in to a brand new environment, but also a role unfamiliar to her.
But, now in her second year with the Penn State women’s volleyball program, she feels right at home.
The senior setter made the difficult decision to transfer from Florida to Penn State after her sophomore season, and in doing so, she joined a talented, close-knit group of players that had already been playing together for two years.
