Penn State women’s volleyball rides emotions to victory on senior day vs Washington

Is anything more emotional than saying goodbye?

Sunday’s matchup in Rec Hall was step one of saying goodbye to Jess Mruzik, Taylor Trammell, Anjelina Starck, Quinn Menger and Camryn Hannah.

The contest was designated senior day, being the second-to-last regular season home match. The festivities started before first serve, when Penn State gifted the Washington Huskies’ seniors with flowers and recognized their careers.

After that, the game was played as usual, with two seniors leading the way in scoring throughout the first two sets — Mruzik and Hannah.

The two were the only pair to cross ten kills in the four set contest, splitting 31 points between the pair, including 19 for Hannah.
