Sporting an undefeated 5-0 record, No. 5 Penn State head to the west coast this weekend to face its first two ranked opponents of the season in No. 4 Stanford and No. 18 Oregon as part of the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge.
The Challenge, hosted by Stanford, officially begins for Penn State at 11 p.m. eastern time on Friday night, when the Nittany Lions face off with the hosts.
“Stanford started the season ranked No. 1 in the country, and they return four All-Americans,” head coach Russ Rose said. “I’d still think Stanford is the favorite to be competing for the national championship at the end of the year.
