With a 2016 schedule released just a few weeks ago, the women’s volleyball program is again set to have a winning season. The Nittany Lions ended the 2015 season with a 28-6 record.
Though head coach Russ Rose couldn’t be reached for comment, this year he will be back for his 38th season with Penn State, aided by assistant head coach Salima Rockwell. In December, Rose extended his contract with the Nittany Lions for five more years , giving the Nittany Lions a chance to add to their seven national championships. After a two year run at Penn State, former assistant coach Stevie Mussie now serves as the head coach of Arizona State University’s women’s volleyball program.
