Defensive specialist Taylor Krause, whose younger sister Kristin is a freshman on the team, described Penn State’s Dig Pink match to her sister as “the best atmosphere you get to play in.”

Coach Russ Rose said the pink match at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, in which the Nittany Lions (16-3, 8-0 Big Ten) will host Ohio State (13-7, 3-5 Big Ten), is special for the community because so many people — a friend, relative or family member — are affected by breast cancer or have “been involved in that battle.
