After accounting for three of Penn State's six tallies over the weekend homestand, senior forward Megan Schafer was named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
The Langhorne, Pennsylvania native's smooth finish in Friday's win over Michigan sealed the Nittany Lion success, and she helped contribute to a dominant 4-0 Senior Day victory against Michigan State on Saturday.
The announcement marks the first time Schafer has been named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week. She shares the honor with Minnesota's Sydney Squires, who ranks second in the nation with her 13 goals scored this season.
Schafer's offensive explosion this past weekend comes after scoring just one goal in her previous nine matches.
