It is said that lightning never strikes twice in the same place.
That myth was proven defunct Saturday afternoon as No. 7 Penn State tied Nebraska 1-1 in a five hour weather-delayed game.
From the first kick, weather played a heavy hand in determining the style of the game.
With strong gusts of wind at Nebraska’s back, the Cornhuskers dominated possession early. Penn State was content to just try and possess the ball, not forcing the ball forward against the blustery conditions.
In the opening twenty minutes of the game, Nebraska had several crosses intended for in front of the Nittany Lion goal catch the wind and blow out for goal kicks.
