Penn State captured its third-straight Big Ten 7s title on Sunday afternoon in South Bend, Indiana, defeating Michigan 44-5 in the final.
The Nittany Lions’ tradition of winning continues, coach Kate Daley said, thanks in large to a group of veterans who led the way.
“Each year every team is different,” Daley said last November. “This year the team leaders, Katie Mueller, Hope Rogers and Gabby Cantorna, have done a great job of creating an atmosphere of growth.”
The Lions’ victory capped a dominant day in which they outscored opponents 190-15 over five matches.
