Penn State met fierce competition when it faced No. 12 Princeton on Wednesday. Following a third straight loss, the blue and white looked to reignite its momentum.
The Nittany Lions lost 16-7.
Princeton won the opening faceoff, jumping into an offensive attack to start the match. Haven Dora quickly challenged the Nittany Lions on a free-position shot but couldn’t complete the play.
Four minutes in, Emma Kelly flipped the attack, posting Penn State’s first goal. Princeton’s Meg Morrisroe responded, finding a soft spot off a pass by Lane Calkins to even the match.
Running circles around the net, Sophie Whiteway tallied the Tigers’ second goal in under a minute before Lauren Saltz evened the match once more off a free-position shot.
