Penn State women’s lacrosse hosts Drexel Wednesday

Coach Missy Doherty and Penn State's players all appreciate a break, whether it's a weekend trip home for Easter or a 10-day respite between games.

The No. 9 Nittany Lions (7-2) have enjoyed a week and a half of rest since their defeat at No. 14 Stanford on March 20, their longest break of the season. They had played five games in just over two weeks by the time they left Palo Alto.

"The best thing is we get our legs underneath us," midfielder/defender Abby Smucker said.

Smucker was one of several Nittany Lions who traveled home to spend Easter with her family.
