Two lightning delays didn’t stop No. 16 Stony Brook from defeating the Penn State Nittany Lions 16-11 at Panzer Stadium.
The game began with a pair of turnovers by each team until the Seawolves junior midfielder Ally Kennedy scored her first of the day.
Kennedy accounted for six of the team's goals today and reached her 64th goal of the season.
Throughout the week, the Nittany Lions tried to prepare for the stand-out midfielder but were unsuccessful in containing her.
“You can prepare as much as you want but Ally Kennedy running at you at 100 mph is kind of hard,” sophomore midfielder Sophia Triandafils said.
