The 17th-ranked Nittany Lions secure their first win in conference play against Rutgers Saturday afternoon from Piscataway, New Jersey. The Nittany Lions ended with an 18-13 win over the Scarlett Knights, making this their third consecutive victory.
The Nittany Lions opened the game with three consecutive goals in the first three minutes of play. Senior Katie O’Donnell found the back of the net at the 28:09 mark, setting the tone for the Nittany Lions.
Senior Maggie Gallagher put another one away for Penn State just 40 seconds after O’Donnell.
