Penn State women's lacrosse associate head coach Amy Altig named to U.S. national team staff

The United States' women's national lacrosse team will sport a hint of blue and white.

New head coach Jenny Levy announced the addition of Penn State assistant Amy Altig, and three others, to her coaching staff.

Altig, the Nittany Lions' associate head coach who works with the goaltenders and defense, will begin her eighth season with Nittany Lions the program this spring.

Penn State made the final four the past two seasons and has made the NCAA tournament the past six seasons.

A two-time All-CAA honoree while at James Madison, Altig had a successful career as a goaltender and played for the national team, representing the Prague Cup touring team in 2008.
