For the first time in program history, Penn State traveled to North Andover, Massachusetts for a series with Merrimack College.

The trip proved to be productive for the Nittany Lions (2-6-1) as they split with the Warriors (4-4-2), with each time notching an overtime win over the other.

The first game was a close and defensive encounter. Merrimack forward Jessica Bonfe opened the scoring early with a goal just over a minute into the game. For the most part, the first period was controlled by the Warriors, who outshot the Nittany Lions 9-5.

Penn State was able to bounce back in the second period, outshooting Merrimack 12-5, but it was not able to score.
