Penn State has its first win in over a month.
The Nittany Lions downed Rider at Pegula Ice Arena on Friday, snapping an eight-game winless streak.
Penn State grinded for this win and it showed in the statistics. It recorded 39 shots, more than tripling RIT’s 11 shots on goal.
Shots did not seem to matter in the first period. The Tigers scored first on their second shot. The goal came two minutes and 55 seconds into the game. They only recorded three other shots this period, but none were proved to be too difficult for Penn State goalie, Hannah Ehresmann.
