After falling behind in the first period Penn State scored three quick goals in the middle frame to power itself to a 3-2 win over Ohio State.
The Nittany Lions (5-13-4, 1-3-4 College Hockey America) fell behind in under a minute, as Dani Sadek gave the Buckeyes (7-13-0, 3-11-0 Western Collegiate Hockey Association) the early lead. Later in the period Melani Moylan doubled the Buckeyes' advantage.
The Lions came out with a purpose in the second period. Looking to avoid the sweep, Emily Laurenzi cut the deficit to one early in the second period.
