The Nittany Lions defeated the Tigers 4-1 on Friday and earned the sweep with a 2-1 overtime victory on Saturday, clinching the conference’s No. 1 seed in the tournament.
The blue and white finish atop the AHA with 52 points and a 19-1 conference record. Penn State will look to continue its conference dominance in the AHA tournament, hosting the lowest seed in the second round after receiving a first-round bye.
