It took until the sixth game for Penn State women’s hockey to get its first conference win of the season.
The Nittany Lions defeated Robert Morris, following three ties in the first five games, including one the day before against the very same Colonials the Lions’ offense broke out against.
Before the win over the Colonials, the Lions had only scored more than three goals once, in a 5-3 win over Boston University. The Lions hadn’t found the back of the net more than twice in the past five games, however.
