Penn State forward Natalie Heising was awarded with the College Hockey America (CHA) Rookie of the Month for September through October, as announced by the conference office Wednesday.
The Maple Grove, Minnesota, native has earned 32 shots on goal so far this season, the highest on the team, showing the offensive prowess that has earned her this prestigious award.
Other statistics that show her leading skills for freshman in the conference is that she is first in points (six), tied for first in goals (three), second in assists (three) and fifth in face-off wins (49).
Leading up to this weekend’s series against Mercyhurst, Heising is coming in with a four-game point streak, a possible preview to the freshman forward's scoring for this weekend.
