Penn State women’s hockey completes sweep of RIT

Friday night, Penn State redeemed themselves against the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers, a team they had first played this season a little over two weeks ago with a one-goal shutout victory.

Saturday afternoon, the Nittany Lions (9-14-5, 5-4-5 College Hockey America) repeated their success against the Tigers (6-21-1, 2-11-5 CHA) with a 2-0 shutout win to sweep the series.

Friday night, coach Josh Brandwene said the second and third period were the best 40 minutes of hockey the team has played all season. Saturday afternoon, Brandwene said the effort was better, though there is still room for improvement.
