Penn State women’s hockey team has been ranked No.4 in the College Hockey America (CHA) preseason coaches’ poll, which was announced by the conference on Wednesday.

The poll, taken by all of the coaches in the conference, strives to rank each team based its performance from the previous season, according to Penn State’s coach Jeff Kampersal.

“In the CHA, all the teams are pretty good,” Kampersal said. “But everything will change from year to year, so the preseason polls, with the exception for the top teams, usually aren’t that way by the end of the season.”
