Penn State (1-3-1) tied Boston University (2-1-1) Friday night, 3-3, in its first home game of the season at Pegula Ice Arena.
The Nittany Lions remained strong in the defensive zone in the first period of play, not allowing a single goal to be scored.
Bella Sutton scored 12 minutes into the first period, her first goal of the season. Laura Bowman was credited with the assist.

Sutton said it was good to start with energy.
“It’s not always something you can control,” said Sutton. “It was a lot of fun to get out there and get after it right away.
