Penn State women's hockey advances to CHA semifinals with win over Lindenwood

Twenty minutes away from from the end of its season, Penn State made a choice.

The Nittany Lions could have folded, but instead they rallied to keep their year alive, scoring twice in the third period to pull ahead and take the win over Lindenwood, 2-1.

Penn State will play first seeded Robert Morris, Friday at 12:30 p.m. to decide who will move on to the championship. Robert Morris is the defending champion and will not be an easy competitor.

Penn State survived round one with some last minute offense by its dependable power play and their top scorer Natalie Heising.
