Having lost two straight and four out of its last five, Penn State desperately needed a win to get its season back on track.
The Lady Lions were able to stop the bleeding and get back in the win column on Wednesday, rallying from 15 down in the second half to defeat the Northwestern Wildcats 67-59 in a slugfest at the Bryce Jordan Center.
With the victory, Penn State improves to 15-12 on the season and 6-8 in Big Ten conference play. The loss was the eighth straight for Northwestern, as it falls to 9-18 on the season and 2-11 in the conference.
