Coming off wins in three of its last four, Penn State had confidence heading into one of their toughest tests of the season against the 18th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.
This confidence, however, was short lived as the Buckeyes set the tone by jumping out to a 20-5 lead following their 14-0 run midway through the first quarter. The outcome was never in doubt from there, as Ohio State rolled to a 94-64 win.
There were few bright spots for the Lady Lions, as they headed into the second quarter with a 24-10 deficit.
Second quarter adjustments by coach Coquese Washington paid off with the Lady Lions going on a 10-2 run early on to cut the Buckeyes lead to 38-23.
