Penn State needs a win as the end of the regular season draws near, and a spot in the Big Ten Tournament isn’t assured come March.
The Lady Lions will have two chances this week when they take on Washington at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Bryce Jordan Center, followed by a trip to Northwestern at 2 p.m. Sunday.
With a 1-10 conference record, these two matchups are critical for all teams desperate for a spot in the 15-team tournament.

The Huskies are new to the Big Ten, but they’ve still found relative success in their first season, posting a 13-9 record and 4-6 mark in conference play.
