The day has finally come. The Pitt Panthers have come to Happy Valley for week three of the college football season to take on the Penn State football program. This week’s matchup wraps up multiple era’s of a classic college football rivalry.
As we know, it is the 100th meeting between the two Pennsylvania schools. And if Pittsburgh’s head coach’s words are any indication, it could be the final meeting for a long time. The last time this series took a hiatus, was back in the early 2000s.
It took 16 years for Pittsburgh and Penn State to go head-to-head again, and it happened by way of a four-year contract.
