In front of a Homecoming crowd at Beaver Stadium, the Nittany Lions had their best performance of the season, beating Indiana 29-7. With Akeel Lynch and Saquon Barkley out for the second-straight week, the coaching staff finally opened up the playbook and called plays to Christian Hackenberg’s strengths. It was a pleasant sight for a change. If the offense can develop a little more consistency and avoid disappearing acts like the third quarter, the Nittany Lions can be competitive in every game.
The defense took advantage of Indiana having to play without it’s top two play makers, quarterback Nate Sudfeld and running back Jordan Howard.
