After gong 1-1 on the recent two-game road trip, the Penn State Nittany Lions head back to Beaver Stadium for a conference battle with the Illinois Fighting Illini. There’s new sod on the ground, and the footing should be perfect, as is the weather today.
Penn State has been inconsistent this season, especially on offense, but the Nittany Lions put up 31 points last week and will look to keep it rolling this week. Hackenberg, who hasn’t lived up to expectations this season, threw for three touchdowns last week against Maryland.
The Illini upset the Nittany Lions in an ugly game in Champaign last season and the blue and white clad fans in Beaver Stadium today will be itching for some revenge.
