UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State coach Patrick Chambers said this season was going to be a roller coaster ride for his Nittany Lions and he wasn’t wrong.
Tonight the Lions delivered with their top performance of the season, exiting the Bryce Jordan Center with fans on the court, celebrating Penn State’s second victory against a ranked opponent in the past two weeks, this time downing No. 4 Iowa (20-6, 11-3 Big Ten), 79-75. Penn State players high-fived with fans as Shep Garner, Donovon Jack and Brandon Taylor maneuvered their way through the court, sharing a hug on a night in which the Lions (13-13, 4-9) dug themselves out of an early hole and came storming back.
