On Friday, the third day of the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship, Penn State finished the competition on the men's side with a top-20 team finish and a runner-up performance from sophomore Isaiah Harris in the men's 800-meter run.
Harris, who has been the reigning Big Ten indoor and outdoor champion in the event for the past two years, finished with a time of 1:45.40 — just .37 milliseconds behind UTEP's Emmanuel Korir, who finished in 1:45.03.
For his finish, Harris earned his second outdoor All-American honors, in addition to his indoor honors, and will compete at the USA Track and Field Championships from June 23-25 at Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California.
