Penn State track and field succeeds with dominating performances at Nittany Lion Challenge

Just like it’s been all season, Penn State track and field picked back up after the holidays with several dominating performances at the Nittany Lion Challenge.

The women’s shot put kicked the meet off as Penn State’s Gabby Cope and Skye Petrie-Cameron made the top nine and advanced to the finals, finishing in fourth and ninth place with throws of 14.40 meters and 13.57 meters, respectively.

On the track, the men’s mile was a clean sweep for the Nittany Lions. Led by freshman Nick Sloff – who ran a 4:05.37 personal best for first place – Penn State secured the first five places and eighth place, dominating the mile.
