Penn State Tight End Tyler Warren Wins John Mackey Award

A phrase that’s been traveling in and around Happy Valley since September can now be written into the history books — Tyler Warren is the best tight end in the country. Warren has been named as the recipient of the John Mackey Award, given annually to the nation’s most outstanding tight end.

Warren’s history-making season saw him led Penn State with 88 receptions, 49 ahead of second-leading receiver, Trey Wallace. He also had a team-lead with 1,062 receiving yards and six touchdown catches. Warren set a flurry of records during his senior season, including most career receptions, yards and touchdowns by a Penn State tight end.
