Penn State tight end Kyle Carter went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, but it didn’t take long for him to find a team that was interested in his services. After the draft concluded Saturday, Carter was signed as a priority free agent by the Minnesota Vikings.
Carter had a very successful redshirt freshman season in 2012, making 36 receptions for 453 yards. However, after that productive season, he battled injury and never really looked like the same player.
He finished his Penn State career with 84 receptions for 963 yards and four touchdowns.
Standing at six-foot-three, 248 pounds, Carter makes for a good tight end target, especially in the red zone.
