Adam Breneman’s football career at Penn State has come to an end. Breneman was once one of the top prospects in the country and, along with quarterback Christian Hackenberg, helped Penn State’s football program during unprecedented NCAA sanctions.
Penn State announced Thursday afternoon that Breneman, a redshirt sophomore who completed his business management degree in December, will end his Penn State playing career due to a chronic knee injury and pursue opportunities in business or politics this spring. Breneman tore the ACL in his right knee in high school, played as a true freshman at Penn State in 2013 and missed his sophomore season due to an injury that required surgery on his left knee.
